They help with the selection of vendors, coordinating appointments and keep within the client’s budget. The planner offers suggestions for music, menu planning, décor, floral and cake. A Certified Wedding Specialist troubleshoots and reduces stress.
2. What are your credentials?
In the wedding-related business, several organizations offer training programs for wedding planners, including Weddings Beautiful Worldwide. The eighteen-assignment course given by Weddings Beautiful Worldwide trains the planner in all details of weddings, whether the wedding is Catholic, Jewish, Protestant, Afro-American, or other ethnic considerations. The planner after successfully completing certification a Weddings Beautiful Worldwide planner will know how to guide the bride in making decisions. Upon completion of the course, a Weddings Beautiful Worldwide student is awarded the title “Certified Wedding Specialist.”
3. What do you charge?
Certified Wedding Specialists will charge for their services by a flat rate, a percentage of the total wedding or an hourly fee.
4. Am I obligated to use the vendors that you suggest?
If the bride has her own vendors she is perfectly free to use them on her own or the wedding planner can work with them for her. A wedding planner will only recommend a variety of vendors that she knows specializes in a certain look or price range.
